AZURE Biography
About Us
AZURE are a Dublin-Based alternative band. Taking from a variety of influences ranging from the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, to the Arctic Monkeys, to the Sugababes, their sound is quickly developing into a new and unique style where you can dance and groove all night long.
Originally formed in 2017 by long term friends Seán Woods (Bass), Devin Hanson (Guitar), and Evanael (Guitar), the band didn’t see much activity. In 2023, Singer Sam Jones and Drummer Sam Parcon joined to create the current lineup. With that came the release of their debut single ‘Leave It Out’ in November 2023 and ‘Getaway’ in January 2024. Both tracks, as well as the rest of their debut EP, ‘Casa Del Dáil’, were recorded and produced in Beardfire Studios by brothers Rohan Healy and Al Quiff. ‘Casa Del Dáil’ was released on April 5th 2024, to a very positive response from fans. It contains fan favourites such as ‘Leave It Out’ and ‘Getaway’, as well as new tracks with wildly varying styles.
AZURE most recently headlined the sold-out Trinity Arts Festival opening ceremony, supported by BLAZER and The Regulators.
Testimonials
"[Casa Del Dáil] is a powerhouse of youthful indie rock rebellion, packed with fast paced anthems that fans are already chanting along with at their gigs. There is an atmospheric depth there, especially in a song like She that shows a wisdom in arranging and playing beyond their years. Awesome band, one for the present and the future!" Rohan Healy - Beardfire Music
“The group performs excellently together. No performer sticks out from the rest, with each member being so skilled in their own right they balance each other out. The result is an enticing performance with crowd engagement and movement along with their unique sound.” Sorcha Rose McGroaty - Meath News Local & South East
